The third annual meeting of the Etowah County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and the Etowah County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) was held on Thursday, August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. This meeting allowed members of both organizations to coordinate with vendors and other members.

The Gadsden/Etowah County EMA would like to thank Gadsden Job Corps, The Gadsden Civil Air Patrol Cadets, Alabama Emergency Management Agency, the USDA, and all participating vendors for their support of the third annual exhibition.

As part of the event, several individuals were recognized for representing a level of community service that exceeded the expectation of their peers and the public at large.
