ETOWAH COUNTY, AL—Gadsden/Etowah County Emergency Management Agency Director Deborah L. Gaither was recently selected as the receipient of the 2021-2022 Alabama Association of Emergency Managers (AAEM) President’s Award. The award presentation took place at the AAEM and Association of County Commissioners of Alabama (ACCA) annual conference held in Tuscaloosa this week. The award is annually presented at the AAEM/ACCA disaster conference to a member “for outstanding service to the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers.”
Director Gaither will be honored and formally presented with the award at the combined expo of the Etowah County VOAD and LEPC groups – an annual gathering of first responders and volunteers to review the responses of the previous year.
